So it was a sound investment.

As a part of my summer brief I was to research Milton Glaser, one of the greatest, most successful Graphic designers of the 20th century. Glaser has designed for everything from Louis Armstrong LP covers to beer bottle labels for Brooklyn Brewery. He designed the I Love New York slogan, which is in my opinion is the most reproduced and recognisable design today. I decided to merge Glaser's slogan with my own summer project, 'The Barras', a famous market place in Glasgow. Incorporating the iconic Glasgow 'Barras' gate with Glaser's work, I came up with the graphic seen here.
On a side project from my summer brief I decided to have my printed on to t-shirts and bags, which I could sell in the actual market itself. I managed to off load two or three t-shirts there before starting back at University in Dundee and allow the t-shirt printing studio I used in Glasgow to sell my design for a fee, my first design sale, and the sales continue!

"Tshirts for sale! 2 for a pound."

The hills are alive with the sound of vinyl

Got bored at lunch time, so I decided to make myself a wee vinyl bowl out of everyone's favourite lp,
THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Heard about it from my friend who came back from New York, said he was going to buy us one but didn't. One of those pointless stories people love to tell you. I decided to give it a bash for myself. Easily done vinyl cost me 50p andI just launched it in the oven in a bowl. Or you could fork out £20 for one....

Just finished watching this film, you should watch it. Although i have never once heard of Mister Brainwash, didnt know he done the cover art for madonna's recent album, but the guy got his shit together. From being a film maker to selling a mill + on his opeing art show, got to give him props.
I did love his take on Warhols soup tin.

And it has my main man Shepard Fairey in it as well!

Website Mock ups

These mock ups are for graphics CAD brief, (computer aided design) not the product design programme. FYNE&DANDY.COM. The images are the first website designs I have ever attempt. Feeling pretty good about them. Should be a good outcome... after I've learned Dreamweaver n FLASH (shotgun anyone)....

Gash Illustrator

Created some shengi mascots for my FYNE&DANDY. operation.
It must be fun to be an illustrator, just being able to scrawl away in a sketchbook, generating more n more work with simply pens.
